Residential Projects:

Janet Fetterman’s

Problem: Janet was in good shape as far as quality furniture pieces and artwork, but she needed the color scheme pulled together and wanted her home to feel more welcoming and private, without being cluttered.

Solution: We choose a light brown mocha color for the living room walls, which would compliment the tans, browns and purples of the existing furniture and accessories. The fireplace- as an accent- was competing with the TV for status, so we moved the TV to the far corner of the room, so it wasn’t in view of the sitting circle, and put it on a circular table with a fabric drape.

The old TV table was refinished and moved by the door as a mail station. Plants were grouped together and placed on the floor, and more substantial window treatments were later purchased that offered more privacy.

In the dining room, we switched out the plain chairs for antique chairs that were stored in the attic, and installed sheers behind the French doors, as to not hide the attractive woodwork.

I was so pleased with the "consult" I had with Jesse!  Her suggestions were doable...it was amazing how moving some furniture and painting a few walls changed my home from "too neat" to "cozy and warm!"  It was great to use things that I already had in my attic to avoid many additional expenses.  Also, I tend to like muted colors and earth tones and Jesse likes bright colors. But, she really worked with my preferences and style to make things "work."
