Problem:
Glenda was moving into a new house, and owned
minimal furnishings. There was no special
delineation between the living room and the
dining room. The walls could not be painted
since it was a rental property.
Solution:
It was fun shopping for unique furnishings
and accessories that reflected Glenda’s
style. At an antique show, she purchased a
dining room table, some African masks, a pair
of lamps and a collection of vases from the
1950’s. The color scheme that developed
was gem colors – think purples, greens,
oranges and blues. We hung double curtains
as a room divider between the living room
and the dining room, which added more dimension
and privacy. And a trip to an ethnic import
store garnered some great colorful pillows
and unique window treatments.
Here's what Glenda had to say about her new
decor:
“My daughter and I recently moved into
a new home and I wanted to create a different
environment that had a unique feel. I was
looking for a mix of simple 50's modern and
bright, warm Middle Eastern colors. Jesse
was great. She listened to my needs and helped
me create a space with everything I asked
for and more. She was even able to include
some antique pieces that look fabulous. Jesse
was so easy to work with and made the entire
process both simple and fun. Thanks Jesse!!!”
