No matter what
the home environment, I find the best way to
shape a space. I respect its function, yet ensure
its attractiveness. I account for whether you
use the space to work, entertain, cook or just
relax.
I take objects and materials and find unexpected
uses for them, by looking at them in a different
way and celebrating their uniqueness. I’ve
used vintage ties and old aprons as window valances,
and taken shower curtains and old marine buoys
and made them into porch privacy screens. I
always strive to be creative and resourceful.
I don’t subscribe to cookie-cutter commercialization.
I enjoy revamping vintage lamps and furniture
and designing custom pieces from scratch.
I’m not big on appliances and modern conveniences.
I choose to hide away television, stereo and
computer equipment. I’ve even decorated
stoves and refrigerators to help them blend
in. My style is eclectic yet clean, colorful
and inspiring. Visual or physical clutter makes
me edgy. There’s a method to my madness!
My past residential projects have ranged from
an intimate waterfront cottage to a large Victorian
group home.
