For two years I participated in "Chair-ity," a local fundraiser organized by East Hill Medical. Artists were asked to create chairs to auction off to raise money for a new dental clinic. My approach both years was very different. The first year, I just embellished the seat of an antique mission oak chair with a weave of vintage ties, and my second year I got more ambitious and made a chair/wine cooler with a Halloween theme, which was a big hit.
